(June 1, 2016 — Jacksonville, FL) — Katherine Way Collections has launched a new line of women’s golf apparel that combines innovative new fabric technologies with a fashion-forward look. Lifestyle fashion designer Katherine Way created the line

as a female golfer who saw a need for more functional fabrics, but she also put her own free-spirited spin on the line with bright, vibrant patterns like Octopus, Starfish, Splash and others.

Way’s commitment to high quality fabrics is the driving force of the fashion line for golf. A strategically designed nylon/spandex blend provides proven moisture-wicking capabilities, certified UPF 50+ sunscreen protection and is wrinkle-resistant. Her customers have long touted how well the technology fabrics performed in her dresses and pants; soon, her customers who play golf encouraged her to expand into a line of fashionable, but also functional golfwear. Katherine Way Collections golf linewill make its debut in the merchandise tent at the US Open June 13, following successful events at The Players Championship, the Shell Houston Open and the Wells Fargo Championship.

“The technology of our fabrics is driving our success in the golf industry, coupled with the fact that women want golf attire that has personality. We learned that women were wearing our dresses on the golf course - for both playing and spectating - because our moisture wicking fabrics allowed them to head straight into the clubhouse after a round feeling fresh and comfortable,” according to Way. “We began designing shorts and skirts so women can look fun while having fun playing and watching golf.”

According to PGA Assistant Golf Professional Andrew Bryce, “The patrons of the 2015 Wells Fargo Championship simply loved the product on offer from Katherine Way. We felt it was important to offer a ladies product in the merchandise tent that wasn’t all golf and Katherine Way fit the lifestyle product we were looking for perfectly. We are excited about the partnership we have developed and are sure the success will continue into our tournament’s future. The crowds at a PGA Tour event wouldn’t be the same without a good looking summer dress.”

Katherine Way Collections is available in over 300 boutiques, resorts and country clubs across USA, Canada and the Caribbean. All Katherine Way Collections products are made in the USA. The golf line includes bright, colorful skirts and shorts with coordinating tops, in addition to both sleeved and sleeveless lifestyle dresses. The Spring 2016 features 12 dress styles, two shorts, one skirt and six tunic tops, and palazzo pants.
